To communicate with arduino I have used the LINX toolkit from Labview:
When the temperature is below 23°C a blue led will turn on and when the temperature is above 30°C a red led + dc motor (fan speed) will turn on.
To control the DC motor I have use the 2n5550 NPN transistor and a kickback diode (against EMF).
